Long Beach Wedding - Mr & Mrs Appleberry
Briana & Christian's wedding day wasn't short of some pre-wedding drama but in the end everything turned out so perfect. Especially the 45 minutes I got to spend just with the newlyweds, that's ALWAYS welcomed! There was a bit of a mishap with the makeup artist, and the MOH phoned a friend who showed up to save the day with only an hour left before the ceremony. Eek!! Of course there were a few other minor things, which is pretty typical of a wedding day, but I was so impressed that on top of everything that happened Briana held her composure SO well.
Their wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Reef Restaurant in Long Beach, right next door to the Queen Mary. It really is a great venue, the staff were attentive and the food was quite yummy. Briana and Christian were surrounded by about 90 of their closest family and friends, most of which traveled quite a distance to partake in their big day. And even though things didn't run 100% smoothly in the morning, by the time Briana was walking down that aisle, all was forgotten.
This is just a friendly reminder to all the brides to be out there: weddings NEVER go the way you think they will. It doesn't matter how much planning is involved, almost always something goes awry. I have yet to see a perfect wedding day, BUT THAT'S OK! No matter what happens things always work themselves out. So try not to lose your mind the morning of your wedding when the flowers are not exactly what you wanted, or the officiant is late, etc.. Everything works out in the end, and no one will ever know or notice that things didn't go the way you planned. Unless you tell them of course.
With that being said, take a glance through their day. I bet you never would have known there were any mishaps if I didn't say anything, would you? ;)
