Bryan is one of our dearest friends. Andrew met Bryan through Craigslist, he was the singer in the band Andrew was part of and I can't count how many times he stayed on our couch at our little Lakewood apartment. Talk about doing everything your parents teach you not to do - let a stranger from the internet stay in your home lol
When Bryan told us he was getting married to Wendy we were so excited for him! And then to find out that he wanted me to photograph it, I was nothing short of honored. I take great pride in all the weddings I shoot but this one is so near and dear to my heart.
In the couple days leading up to their wedding, we got to meet family members and friends that he had always told us stories of, it's always nice to put a face to the name after several years!
Their wedding was originally supposed to be on Bryan's father and grandmother's land. They had acres of beautiful green fields and a stunning lake. But Mother Nature had other plans, and a massive storm blew through that same weekend and flooded the property the day before their wedding. Now when I say Bryan is by far the most positive person I know on this planet, I mean it. Bryan and Wendy reworked their entire wedding in 24 hours without blinking an eye. You heard me, 24 hours. They found beautiful Woodland Acres Barn and swiftly moved vendors and decor to this new location, with the help of family and friends.
On their wedding day we were still expecting a continuation of the storm to blow through and were going to hold the ceremony in the barn. I watched the dopler like a hawk and 30 minutes before their ceremony I went to them both, told them the storm wasn't hitting us and we should move the ceremony outside. They trusted me completely, and in 30 mins myself and friends and family moved the ceremony outside, and my god it was a BEAUTIFUL day, we even got a sunset!
Bryan and Wendy handled the most insane 24 hours before their wedding like absolute champs. I knew after that, that these two were more than made for each other. They were there for each other every step of the way and handled it with grace.
Words cannot describe how incredibly happy I am for these two, and I can't wait to see what amazing things they bring to this World in the future!
